Teaching & Learning
At Irymple South Primary School, we take great pride in our teaching and learning. As stated in our mission, our teaching and learning aims to empower all students to reach their full potential academically, socially and emotionally through quality learning experiences every day in a safe, supportive and thriving environment.
We use the framework for improving student outcomes (FISO) in all our planning and curriculum. It creates a line of sight between the whole-school improvement approach and classroom practice.
At ISPS, our teaching and learning is developed from high impact improvement initiatives and we drive those initiatives through evidence-based decisions to ensure a quality teaching and student learning program. All our initiatives are linked back to our School Strategic Plan and Annual Implementation Plan. We use the FISO improvement cycle to guide an effective inquiry process.
Our environment encourages collaboration among school leaders, teachers, students and parents/carers in effective learning communities to improve learning outcomes for students.
